San Francisco to Kirby Cove

Short overnight outing of the NorCal Bike Touring Meetup group.  Left San Francisco from the Ferry building a little after 6pm and returned by 9am the next morning.  Kirby Cove is located just northwest of the Golden Gate bridge in the Marin headlands area.  There are four campsites available by reservation.

Bodega Bay reflection. An unusually quiet Pacific Ocean. We had to carry our bikes over the part of the path that was reclaimed by a sand dune. It is a joy to unload bikes, set up camp, and then ride the bikes around camp. The bikes feel like different bikes—faster and more nimble.
